Im stuck between the cadex lite competion and the ax aics both are folders to go on my 700. One week i like ax more next cadex. Im having a hard time picking. If you've had both whitch do you prefer? What would be your choice?

Is this For a comp gun? Cause if it is then neither. They aren’t good for that. Especially the AX. It’s terrible. If it’s just a range gun, I think the Cadex looks better. The buttstock adjustments are a pia tho with the thumb screws.

Yea then either one will be be fine. If you don’t need to be adjusting the stock very much cheek height etc then I like the Cadex. It looks better to me. But the adjustments are much easier on the AX rear for sure.
There is part of my problem i like the stock and mag well of the ax but i like how the cadex sits lower over all and the less bulk.

Not trying to argue just wanting info... I’m new to competition and running an AX. Why do you say the AX is terrible?

From what I gather, they are great rifles no doubt. But I think a few things that make it Ill fit for competition are the way the receiver and the rail stair step. How high the bore is when sitting in a bag, think pistols with high bore and how it effects recoil. I think those are gripe ls people have that are trying to be very competitive or take the sport seriously. I would just shoot matches and become better with the sweet rifle that you have. Also I would watch the AI AT-X video the lowlight put out. It go into detail about what you asked.

The Cadex is a nice chassis and they're great people to deal with over the phone. Because of the design around the action its not as good for barricade and supported positional shooting as chassis designs like MPA and MDT. I've taken it to several matches though and been happy with how it has done. I drag mine out to shoot hogs with every other weekend and it has been holding up great. Personally, I don't see the allure of the AI chassis unless its a full AI rifle, especially since there are so many good options out there now.

I agree with Covert that the Cadex adjustments kinda suck and are not "quick" but idk how much you intend on messing with them.

Posted this pic in the Cadex thread but I'll stick it here too. The gun does have a nice profile.
