It's a .30-06

the RP seems to be Remington military 165gr AP ammo.

what kind of AP? tungsten? (doubt it lol) steel core?

no idea what that red one is....

tracer? really? frontier ammo?

hmm, not sure why I'd use tracer ammo.

The guy gave it to me when I bought the rifle from him.

I guess I don't have much use for these in a precision rifle.

lol

Re: Help me ID this ammo?

Going to suspect the black tip one is a sirroco and the red / orange is Hornady's plastic tipped hunting bullet , SST , IIRC .

Thoose are both commercial loading and not military ammo and not AP or tracer . The RP stands for Remington / Peters and Frontier is old Hornady .

Re: Help me ID this ammo?

They might be ballistic tips but I don't think the black one is a Scirocco, neither the Scirocco I or II have the cannelure. The Frontier is Hornady... SST or? Depends on age I guess.

Re: Help me ID this ammo?

Frontier is Hornady so there is a good chance it's a SST bullet. Black tip could be Sirrocco from Remington, assuming these are from someone using the rifle as a hunting rifle.
