I've been shooting my .22LR (Savage MK II)a lot more lately and I'm thinking of upgrading it's optics. Currently is has a cheapo fixed power scope. My "real" rifles have much better glass. Two have mil/mil, FFP variables and one has a mil/moa, SFP variable.

I figure it would be a benefit to buy a scope that closely mimics my others. However, the funds aren't there for another higher end mil/mil FFP. I can budget for $200 to $300 for glass, base/rings...

Any suggestions?

I like the SS for this role. The fixed power job will have mil dots and all that jazz, AND lots of adjustment range.

That would work!! Except all I've found is the mil/moa. Do you have a model number on this mil/mil version?

I'll throw up a vote for the Weaver Grand Slam Tactical from Midway. Low Light did a review of this scope a short while ago and was equally impressed. It's a 3-10 power with mil/mil and sfp and rear focus. The glass is downright impressive for an entry level scope and the tracking has been great in my experience. The turrets are nice and there's a good amount of adjustment too. With a 0 moa Burris PEPR base I was able to dial to 700 and hold the dots to 850 with my 20" AR15. Usually in stock at Midway and often on sale for 299.
