Hi All,

Anyone know how to remove the objective off an old Weaver T10, to polish off some fungus growth from the rear of the objective?
I don't want to damage the parallax adjustment trying to unscrew it and there are not the usual notched lense retaining rings to unscrew.
Also are they nitrogen purged? I am guessing not however I will fill it with welding grade Argon mix which would be better than nothing!
I'm in Australia so returning it to US prob not an option.
Cheers,
Dave
PS yep we spell lens "lense"

Re: Help! Weaver T 10 (old steel tube type)

The new Weaver won't know squat about the old T-10's. I own or have owned 9 of the older T models. Never had an objective off or even tried it!!! Best bet would be to see if you can get ahold of Bill Ackerman. He is in either Texas or New Mexico, can't remember. However, he does blueprinting and reticle changes on the old T models. If anyone knows it would be him!

Edit to add...This is all I could find on his contact info...
