Movie Theater Help with new movie

I'm not sure if this is in the right spot or appropriate to put on here, if not, please work your magic moderators.
A friend of mine is in film production and asked me if I would like to write a script for a movie. Of course I said hell yeah, but I am at a crossroads as to which direction I want to go with it. This is going to be a low budget/independent film, so keep that in mind. What kind of flick would you guys be interested in? Any input is appreciated.

I'd say a good start is to make sure everybody dies and everything gets blowed up!

I would make a movie about a plastic bag that makes its way across America and all the places it finds itself story seems to follow and in some weird way every place the bag goes it connects the lives of eight people who all die in the end in some sick way. Then it would be on par with most cheap low budget indie films.

My newest novel would make one hell of a movie but again I am bias towards it

I can see a movie with a character like Ricky Bobby in a fishing movie. Maybe following a Bass master champ throughout the tournament season, a guy that maybe comes from fishing in ponds or something like that to the big time.

I do like to fish, but it's not my favorite thing to do...however there are a whole bunch of fisherman in this country and who would watch a movie about it. Just a thought.

How about a remake of Point Of Impact by Stephen Hunter, but follow the book.

Any movie with tons of TNA, Guns, Explosions, hell go for the record of "Most gun blanks fired during a movies production", oh and don't forget the TNA

theres lots of movies that have tna, explostions, and guns that suck pretty bad. its like they have all the things that make a movie great but then have no point or a weak point. the fishing idea would be cool, sorta, i dont fish much but it hasnt been done much. boats are a good source of tna. not sure if theres any pro fishermen that are super interesting. maybe one that runs drugs to pay for his fishing, caause it spensive. i was fishing in florida once and our charter captain told my buddy to take the wheel and T-bone another boat cause he was gonna jump over and beat the sh#t outta another captain that yelled at us for driving too close to people wading. that was pretty exciting. maybe an ocean charter that has hotties working the boat, the captain is a hot head that never turns down a good fight, ends up fighting a guy that takes his boat n he has to get help from a friend'wannabe" military guy(cool guns but no training) action comedy. mix of fishing ricky bobby/captain ron/the burbs. maybe this pile of nonsence will help you some. hahah

Is your friend looking to win an Oscar or just become a popular film maker? Those can be two decidedly different paths.

He's wond a few Independant Film awards...like i said, it's not going to be in a theater near you, but we can all dream.
