Houses exploding in MA - 50 so far?

They believe it is a high pressure main line leaking in many places.

That wouldn't surprise me, I worked in Virginia doing dig up and repairs on 30" gas lines. It was interesting to here some of the older guys talk about how people would build damn near on top of them. I've heard of having to move the a/c unit to dig up the line and tearing up the concrete patios on the back of houses. A lot of the lines are getting old and have to have maintanance done. The gas companies do try to fix things before something happens but sometimes they don't catch everything when they do their tests.

From what I understand, that is what happened. They are replacing several miles of old gas lines

There is a video on YouTube of an explosion in Appomattox, Va from probably 8-10 years ago. It happened outside of town and I believe damaged a couple homes but I cant remember if anyone was hurt or killed. That was the same line I worked on. They use a smart pig in order to tell if the coating is bad, cracks or other defects in the pipe. I never saw one in person but it is a pretty impressive piece of equipment.

When I worked on new pipelines they would run one through and do repairs before they put it into service. It pretty much let's then know if the coating was damaged when lowering into the hole it when back filling the ditch.

I investigated a number of them, including Appomattox. Appomattox was corrosion related. No one was killed-but vinyl siding melted on houses 1200 feet away from the fireball. I’d be willing to bet that the issue in Mass was due to an overpressurization of the main lines. The damage is so widespread it points to that. Was probably a lo pressure system that had much higher pressure as introduced into by mechanical or equipment failure, hopefully not human error.

Havent seen MCameron around for a while. Maybe hes gone underground and taking action to clean up Masshole.

nah....if i was going to do some cleanup, i would have started in fucking somerville/ cambridge and dealt with those fucking commies first....

Maybe he escaped to free America.

thats a Bingo....as of Aug 31st MA is no longer any of my concern.....wall it off and let it burn....

the Missus still has some family in that area....fortunately they were unaffected.....the official story right now is "over-pressurized gas lines".....that sounds like BS to me......i wouldnt be surprised to find out a few Aloha Snackbar types work at that gas company......

That's what we're afraid of, and also what we're waiting to hear. Officially. Before it's twisted/slanted/derailed/propagandized.

I'd be quicker to suspect that it would be the Chinese sending a warning that if we threaten their economy a bit too much with wanting a trade deal that is fair to the USA, their hackers can do some stuff to our infrastructure that we don't want to happen.

The followers of The Prophet are not well known for doing the subtitle unattributed high tech stuff. We know however that the Chinese have hacked us every which way there is. The Russians probably have as well, but who has a reason to send a message leans more towards the Chinese.
