How do you empty your chargemaster?

To empty : I drain the powder on the left side exit chute into the original bottle. When doing this I will set the CM to dispense a charge that will keep the tube rotating for awhile (ie 99.0 grains). While the tube is spinning I will take a long 6” one sided cotton tip applicator and insert the bare end into the CM tube and let it rotate freely. This gets any powder granules that are lingering out into the pan pretty quickly. I’m done in like a minute.

Also, if you use the straw trick in the tube you would want to remove that too before emptying . Some kernels get stuck underneath that thing. And finally, if your using a very fine granular powder like TAC or H335 you will want to remove the big plastic cylinder too. The real fine powder gets stuck in the crevice between the cylinder and the CM.

I gently scoot mine over to the edge of the table so that the drain is hanging over the edge and drain it into the original container. I use a funnel for this. Then I hit dispense and run the tube dry. I have a small art paint brush that will reach to the bottom of the hopper and I sweep any remaining powder onto the rod while its turning. And soon as its empty I close the drain because I know what happens when you don't!!!

I trickle it until the tube opening is facing down and use canned air to blow the powder in the tube back into it. Also dislodges all the grains that are stuck in various places.
