Rifle Scopes How do you guys rate the Falcon Menace 4-18x56

Hi guys, looking at my first optics here and have been pointed towards the Falcon range.

In particular the Falcon Menace 4-18x56?

How do you rate it? any other suggestions

or shall i hold off and wait until i can buy the oh so incredible Schmidt and Bender Police Marksman II

(I am aware there is a huge price gap)

Or lower done the scale the Zenith line of optics

What is your intention for the scope?
Are you more interested in an illuminated reticle or a FFP scope?

have you considered the 5.5-25?

You can always wait for the Bushnell, FFP model with an illumiated reticle to come out. If you are not concerned with FFP, then have at it. I do believe this model is still made with a two piece tube, but I am by no means certain. Someone correct me if I am wrong.

Of the entire Falcon line, this one had the most problems. Specifically, the two-piece tube design liked to fall apart under recoil.

I don't know if that situation was remedied, but it would be worth asking about before you buy one.

Personally, I'd move on to the newer 5-25x56mm with a one-piece tube design.

Regarding the application of use

it will mainly be a FFP but again like you said having that and illumination will be freaking useful

after taking into consideration i have been looking at the.

Falcon Menace 4-14x44 FFP.

How does this fair up to your standards.
