Just another,"How I do it". My buddy saw me checking in a lot of new 168SMK's against a odd lot I already had separated.
I don't always do it this way, but when the fingers and hand go numb from using the calipers on the Lazy-boy this is my fall back.
Sinclair sells a similar setup for $80 and this is the same exact method they are doing for $0 if you already have the Stoney Pointe comparator, Magnetic base, and drop indicator.

This setup I prefer the digital versus the dial for the ease of zeroing and seeing +/- dim's. You can set the range indicators on the dial and do the same time but the digital is a lot quicker for this application.
