Maggie’s How long does it take to die from compressed air

I made a stupid mistake on a colonoscopy once and told them I didn't want any sedation. The little amount of air they blow into you to inflate you feels like about 35 psi, but I doubt it is much over 2-3. I never made that choice (no sedation) again.

That's a pretty courageous endeavor given how far that camera goes up there...I had both my throat and my backside done the same day. Definitely got sedation and I begged them to do my throat first as I was going out.

My guess is he didn't die of the compressed air, but rather from lack of treatment for what the compressed air tore open.

Most likely he got a tear in his lower intestinal wall or somewhere else & it wasn't treated & so he died.

Last one I had was an upper and lower. Before going under I told the doctor that if I have a bad taste in my mouth i would know where they started and finished.

I wanted to go shooting, and I should have taken the doctor's hint by the way he said "Seriously?? No sedation??, Well, OK then." I remember that my head was bumping on the wall trying to climb up the table further away from the "invasion", and it was mostly the pressure from the inflation that was so miserable. I just went home waited for the cramps to subside and farted for the next couple of hours ..never did make it to the range.

FWIW, I have never again even remotely considered doing it again without sedation.
