I got this old Marlin 336 30-30 Win. from my dad and it was his dads.
I dated the rifle back to 1950 (from the first letter on the serial number you are able to date them) which sounds right (1950).
Anyhow it has an old Leupold 2-7X optic on it with old Butler creek covers (they still work! Kinda..) The name "leupold" is etched on the opposite side of the windage side in a half moon style. The reticle is just a plain crosshair.
Any Idea how to date this optic?
