I’m using a Caldwell Rock front bench rest and a rear bag. My vertical is great, I can constantly see the reticle swaying horizontally. I’ve tried different grip pressure, adjusting my rear bag, getting lined up, etc. Still can’t get to where I’d like to be.

All tips appreciated.

I had a Rock ages ago. At the time I was playing with a Howa chassis rifle that had a very narrow forend. I fashioned a bag rider out of HDPE that helped it stay put. Might try something like that or try using just a bipod.

What type of rifle forend? For my Seekins, I 3D printed a “sled” that matches the compound contour of bottom of the rifle but is flat and a bit wider on the bottom.

I also replaced the front bag with a Protek. https://protektormodel.com/products/custom-2-square-ear-front-bag

Borrow a bipod to see if your problem is front or rear support. If you have a sling stud up front, use a Harris. If you have a rail, use an Atlas, Accu-Tac, or similar. Get it set up on target and tighten it down good. If still wobbling I’d look at rear bag or your technique. I shoot with someone who is a good shot, but has a bit of the “shakes” because of medication. He’s currently experimenting with rear bags to help because his Super CAL is rock solid.
