I'm looking for a new scope for hunting (out to 600) and target (out to 1000) on a 6.5CM. all the new options have my head spinning a bit, that's why i'm here. please sound off if you know of anything that would work.

specs that i'm looking for:

SFP for hunting up close
exposed elevation turret w/ zero stop (capped windage is a plus but not mandatory).
Reliable tracking
not too heavy - under 24oz but the lighter the better
3-15 or 4-16 give or take with 40-50 objective. don't need too much but do need the lower end.
30mm tube ideally
less than $800 used or new
MRAD preferred but I don't mind MOA if that's the better deal

things i don't need:
illuminated reticle
huge objectives (over 50mm)
5x on the low end, 20x on the high end
FFP

The last new scope i purchased that's similar to what i'm looking for was a gen 1 vortex pst 4-16 sfp. i also had the 6-24 model and was not happy with it for this use. my fixed 10x swfa doesn't hit the low end power i'm looking for but has worked fine for my longer target sessions. aside from those i've only had capped turrets.

I was looking a Tract and Riton which lead me to wonder what else was out there.

Thanks in advance for the help

ok, i guess there's nothing else out there i'm missing. i was leaning toward a tract toric 3-15 and add the turret. do they typically do sales around tax day?

With scopes in general, jus search sites like EuroOptic, Scopelist, SWFA, Cameraland, etc and see who has the best price and also what they have on clearance and sales, even demos if you want to save more. I just bought a S&B DT/ST PMii 5×25-56 P3L in SFP for $2K, which retails for $3300 because it was a SFP version and was brand new. Going to use it for my own bench, target, and steel plate shooting pleasure.

Another option I found was the Leapold VX-5HD CDS-ZL2. This one also seemed to be listed right at $1000. There might be a used one out there you could find in your budget though.
