Hydroxycut

Re: Hydroxycut

I was being sarcastic to a degree. I agreed 100% with what JJones75 has said. End of the day excess weight is there for a reason, be it genetics, bad dieting, or plain lazyness. Pills and drugs are only a temporary solution, if that.

The best way to go about it, is really a lifestyle change, and once you are there it should not be a change it should be standard from that point onwards.

Ive seen a few friends that have used clenbuterol and the results were good, however it was not a permanent fix, mainly as an agent to cut up.

Re: Hydroxycut

I'm not downing them (fat burners)at all , i use them and probably could not get down lean enough to be competive without them , but i only use them when all else has failed , basicaly when the calories are down so far the body doens't want to burn them anymore and constant "refeeds" get counter productive so these supplements are kicked in to force the body to ramp up just a little more.
Their not a fix to a problem just a temperarory patch.

The first time i dieted down trying to compete i diden't know what i was doing and nearly killed myself by malnutrition , i was taking ECY stanck 5 times a day , to the point i had to take Benedryl at 50mg each night to sleep and clean out the receptors because the ephedrine will saturate and you will eventualy have to up the dose to get the same effect. Now the combo of high does ephedrine and yohimbe did a great job of killing my appatite whcih allowed me to cut my calories down to the 1000-1200 range and that was purely from boiled chicken and raw broccoli , after about 6 weeks of this all fat loss stopped and the health went to shit quick , ended up at the dr getting test run , cholosteral was way out of wack HDL was 7!!! LDL was 180+ , i had wipped out all the digestive enzymens in my gut so what i was crapping out basicaly looked like what i ate , cortosol levels were off the charts , T3 and test levels were 1/4 what they should have been.

fast forward several years and after spending thosands of dollars iring people who knew what they were doing and doin tons and tons of trails on my self i have figured out what works for me and have a pretty good grasp on what it takes to get others squared away and do it healthy.

the drugs and supplements do works no doubt but like everything else they ahve become somehting to rely on rather than hard work.

remember
"Obsessed is a word used by the lazy to describe the dedicated"
not that you have to be obsessive about your eating just don't be lazy about it

Re: Hydroxycut

If you want to lose weight dont do an ECA stack or any Stimulant. In the the short term do they work? Yes. And very effectively I might add espicially the ECA stack. Hydroxy Cut is garbage ever since the took out the Ephedra. They just jacked it up with more caffiene and yohimbe to suppress your appetite. If you have a sensitive stomach it will make you nauseous as shit. ECA stack are great in the short term but very few people ever come off because they work so good and they wind up burning out their adrenal glands. Plus asprin is horrible because it disables your livers ability to push estrogen out of your body. The build up of estrogen shuts your HPTA down which in turn shuts your testosterone production down. Low test, fucked up adrenals, high estrogen = fat and no energy.

Re: Hydroxycut

Best way to drop body fat, is to control your carb intake. I went on the Anabolic diet 2 years ago and it was the best I ever felt. Lost ten pounds of water and fat in a matter of weeks and my energy levels went through the ceiling.

Ive never heard this , what referances are you getting this info from?

Re: Hydroxycut

Dr Shippen whos a pretty well known guy on TRT and hormone replacement. He wrote a book called the Testosterone Syndrome. Theres a whole chapter on medications and drugs that disable your liver p450 system which gets rid of estrogen. Alcohol does it to but so does aspirin and several other commonly used over the counter products. He believes thats why so many men have high estrogen levels and low testosterone. High estrogen will make you retain body fat especially around your waist, Check it out yourself you can buy the book on amazon but google his name first. He knows his shit. The book is a pretty easy read, not super technical and you dont need a degree to understand what hes saying.

Are you still on the Anabolic Diet? I first read about it 2 years ago on T-nation. From what I was reading, its more of a lifestyle diet than a weight loss diet, and its supposed to help increase testosterone and even out your hormone levels. Seems like it could work, I've just never pulled the trigger on it.

Re: Hydroxycut

Yeah im still on it. Its definitely a life style instead of a diet. But what I have found over the last couple of years that I have been on it is that my body fat stays much lower and my energy levels are a hundred times better through out the day because my insulin levels aren't spiking all over the place. A couple of my friends are also doing it after watching what I did and got the same results. As far as needing carbs to build muscle ive come to the conclusion that its a bunch of bullshit. Alot of people swear by carbs but the reality is that when you do a diet like the Anabolic and you watch your body dump all the water that it holds on to because of the effects of carbs you start to realize what you really have underneath. If your losing muscle on this diet all you have to do is bump up the calories.
