Damn... Im so sick and tired of reading or seeing another news story where a little one has been beaten, raped, or killed. I also have a 19 month old. Its over for anyone who would even think about doing something like this to him.
Im sure the 13 yr old was damaged as well from abuse, but he still knew right from wrong. Need to arrest the boys parents too IMO.
Child abusers should just be thrown to the sharks.

I think the gradnmother needs an ass whoopin if she wasn't paying attention.
I took my daughter to the playland but never let her out of sight for more than a minute...

I agree. I take my granddaughter on road trips all the time. To Arkansas to my brother's funeral, and to Portland each year on our motorcycle trip. She's older, (15 now), she still doesn't go to the john without me standing out side the door.
She's never out of arms reach on these trips. Keep my girls close and my revolver closer.

I can't believe that boy to be without some mental issues - i.e not just a bad kid. A close friend of mine in England works in a center for juveniles who've been identified (usually only after someone else has been hurt) with severe psychosis and sexual predatory predilections. She says that there are some kids who MUST be under direct adult supervision at all times and NEVER left in the company of other children or else they will molest.
The extra kicker is, in many cases, the kids who are in their teens when they're identified are usually also proven to come from homes where they were routinely abused themselves. Some people are born bad, some are ruined by bad.
To the parents who had to realize what their son is and who had the courage to turn him in - my prayers and thanks.

It is so disgusting that this kind of thing can happen. The saddest part is the long term damage to the child. Make it stop.

in all seriousness, given some of the violence orientated porn sites, that might have played a role or been an influencer... Sure as hell wouldn't have helped if he did have unsupervised access to the Web.

Look to "spare the rod and spoil the child" and our no real consiquences society. I have a 15yr old son and a 17 yr old daughter and they both know right from wrong and they're both respectful. If you don't take an active role in a childs life and administer discipline when needed you'll get that kind of crap!
