I landed my dream gun

After two years of searching and haggling I finally landed my dream gun. It is a siamese mauser converted to 45-70, 26" Octagon barrel, it has a 1963 Femster stock on it and is in near perfect condition. I am so excited. Working out the trade details now. Good grief I feel like a kid at christmas

Ive got so many ideas for long range loads for this thing. According to all the info I have gotten they can handle ruger #1 loads but of course killed.like a scalded mule.

Im wondering if I can modify it more of a pistol grip. Seems to be pkenty of extra wood. I'd like to flute the barrel as well

Congrats! She is a great looking rifle. I am sure with the modern 458 ball like the TSX the range might be extended a touch longer than in the olden days.
