Just wanted some opinions from the pros before I put all my bonus money down LOL.

Should be a nice setup for 1850 bucks?

Let me know what you guys think. I gave up the AICS stock for a better optic. it was going to be a TRS-1 and the rest on the stock. I also thought about rechambering to .300WM or .308, but with .300WM I have less barrel life, and with .308 It'll be hard for the occasional 1000 yards. I think .30-06 will be a good fit for me. plus it'll cost me another 200 bucks for the new bolt and fitting it. even more money.

I also did this post/breakdown so I can show my lady where all our money is going hahaha.

I came up with $2150 but even at that sounds like a nice setup and there is nothing wrong with a 30-06. If you are not 100% on 30 cal you could always look into a 7mm of some type since you are re-barreling, get a beter BC better long range ballistics depending on what chambering you go with. However I just changed my mind on an all out 7mm build to improving my 5R 300 WM till it needs a new barrel to lower the budget on what I had planned, so I guess it will be a 208 amax for me. If you look at the reloading depot there are some guys doing amazing things with the 30-06 and the 208 amax. There are always options down the road. Good Luck.

yeah it is... stock does cost less lol.

i thought i added the gunsmith work. guess not. thats not happening right away anyways. my adl barrel (w/e contour it is) will be ok for now.

ill start reloading soon, should make it a better pllatform to shoot once i can do that
