I wonder what the rank and file think about their FBI now?

Lots of good folks in LE, but they don't make the news very often, unlike the shithead chest thumpers who should have never been issued a badge in the first place. To me they all should undergo the same psych evaluations each year that uncle use to require for some stuff.

Apparently there are not enough of such people in law enforcement, and in the FBI in particular.
The key word in your comment is “apparently” = you don’t know.

Listen, a simple analogy here. Are you on the inside decision making team for this forum? I don’t know, perhaps you are. I am not and the vast majority of members have no idea what is coming next; it is above our pay grade. That is ok and the way it ought to be...

Similarly- most Corporations, LEO orginazations, Non-Profits, the NFL, the rank and file (which comprise the vast majority = numbers) don’t know about these political games - they (the managing morons) keep a tight circle.

This majority of people on the ground are not even aware of the garbage until it is exposed publicly. Those who are on the ground and know ought to come forward. If they don’t - they are complicit at the very least and aought to receive what’s coming to them.

When working significant and serious criminal cases 99% of the people I worked with did not know the majority of the facts. I couldn’t allow that to occur in an active investigation. The circle would be me, my partner, my manager and the prosecutor.

Basically the deal between us is this:
You say the majority of LEO by percentage are bad people. I say the majority of LEO by percentage are good.

You are not going to agree with me and I am not going to agree with you.

So I will leave you with one thought...a little more logic. I have over a couple of decades of working with the of local, State and Federal LEO organizations = people. I also have had interaction with thousands and thousands of people that are non LEO, criminal, victims, witnesses, etc - most of whom only saw/heard me one time (perhaps even you).

Empirically - I have a pretty strong edge on understanding the quality of people in these categories over you.

Again - are there bad cops - yes! And they ought to pay! They sully the good work of those of us that sacrificed with integrity for the benefit of society.

Actually there are a few SH members that are bad too - and I am not referring to you.

Done and done, not just 10-7, now retired and no longer watching this thread.

.

Actually I do know that there were not any FBI agents of high moral character and who obey the law working on the Trump investigation because if there were, they would have blown the whistle.

Obama turned every agency that he touched into a political tool without regard to law. The FBI and DOJ have been irreparably damaged.

The consequence is that people like me, who have gladly assisted the FBI in the past, even at our own peril, will have absolutely nothing to do with them in the future. I will pop the champagne if we see a couple of dozen FBI agents and DOJ attorneys go to prison over this.

The bottom line is that there is absolutely no reason to trust law enforcement. Law enforcement presents a far greater danger to the average citizen than criminals do.
