I'M TAX-EXEMPT, BITCH!

CHICAGO — Police accuse a Chicago man of pulling out a submachine gun in a convenience store because he didn't want to pay a 22-cent tax on a two-liter bottle of soda.

A Cook County judge ordered 36-year old Nahshon Shelton held without bail after the Sunday afternoon incident. Shelton is charged with aggravated assault, unlawful use of a weapon by a felon and having an invalid Firearm Owner's Identification card.

prosecutors say Shelton pulled out a blue-steel Intratec .22-caliber submachine gun and threatened to kill everyone. Authorities say he told police it "is my neighborhood, I'm tax exempt."

Blue-steel? Blue plastic, maybe. I imagine that there's gotta be steel in there somewhere, but it looks like it would melt on the sidewalk in August.

Seriously, people, it's early for this. I just turned the a/c on this morning. Could we not butcher each other over ice cream and water ice until at least mid-June? PLEASE?!

Holding his trigger finger outside the 'guard' like the dumbazzes do on most of the CIS TV shows! You'd think they'd have enough intellect to get away from that since they're supposedly about to shoot a bad guy!!

This is not from CIS TV it is Rule number 3- Keep your finger off the trigger till your sights are on the target. This is the Golden Rule. Its violation is directly responsible for about 60 percent of inadvertent discharges.

Please review the rules before the next time you use a firearm.

[h=3]Firearms safety[/h] Cooper advocated four basic rules of gun safety:[SUP][6][/SUP]

  1. All guns are always loaded. Even if they are not, treat them as if they are.
  2. Never let the muzzle cover anything you are not willing to destroy. (For those who insist that this particular gun is unloaded, see Rule 1.)
  3. Keep your finger off the trigger till your sights are on the target. This is the Golden Rule. Its violation is directly responsible for about 60 percent of inadvertent discharges.
  4. Identify your target, and what is behind it. Never shoot at anything that you have not positively identified.

If you want a quick DQ in an IDPA, Steel Match, or IPSC match, just run around the course of fire with your finger always on the trigger. Believe it or not, it's not tough to keep your finger outside the trigger 'guard' between targets and still make hits on everything you desire to hit while still making record-breaking times. Have you ever shot in or watched a pistol match? (rhetorical question)
