in all my ignorance, I'm not a fan of cutting coils on any OEM spring, even more if I don't have buyed first some OEM replacement springs _
it would be better, on my book, find and try first some spring with slightly thinner coils , but of the same overall lenght, if available _
about my 700, I've mounted a Tubb spring as soon as possible, but maybe am me..._
