Hello I'm thinking to mount an Anschutz rail instead of the actual Picatinny for an budget upgrade of my factory synthetic stock.
This because a majority of the F-class FTR bipod are mostly availlable with Anschutz fitting.

I'm planning to make a pocket on the place of rail mount, but the inner of the forehand are empty, some sort of ribbing are formed for a minimum of rigidity.

A this point your advice for one newbee are to mount an external Anschutz rail screwed and glued with JB weld or make the inner of forehand full of epoxy resin and make an external pocket for the rail?

Thanks

Pictures of the stock, action, rail are needed or I can't offer an opinion.

Is the bottom of the stock level with a flat straight surface?

Do you have a mill? What tools and skills?

In general garage gunsmith projects like this have poor odds of success and may destroy the stock.

Thanks for the reply!

In thiss case the solution are to buy a new custom stock, the problem are that only custom stock for my rifle (Sabatti Tactical S) are crafted by RGM stock and the variety of choice doesn't satisfy me.
