Gunsmithing Installing swing swivels on a fiberglass stock

Hello all,

I'm looking for the best (or right) process for installing sling swivel studs on a Mcmillan A5 fiberglass stock. I've seen a few videos for wooden stocks but not sure if the same process works for fiberglass or if there is anything that would need to be done different.

I'm not quite sure if it's just as simple as drilling the hole and screwing in the stud or not, but for as much money as I just put into this thing I don't want to mess it up.

The stock itself came with the standard swivel studs but I would like to put some in that are on the sides of the rifle instead of the bottom to make it better for carrying.

Your probably gona be better off going with flush cups on the side of the stock. If not, check out the bed in studs from APA.

Its not very difficult it your the handy type. for cups or APA studs you can drill a hole in the sock and bed them in
