I suspect they would try to disrupt the US any way they can, while they attack Taiwan. Getting the US into a direct war with China is very unlikely, IMO. However we did not expect the Japs to attack US soil back in 1941.

Seen a video of one out of Iran, a few months back, until the top started to open it looked like a normal 40'

The ones I saw looked exactly the same. Supposedly Chinese. Pretty spooky to think about if true. Could literally be anywhere.

Yep, the smalls & micros can be shipped, stashed & waiting anywhere for the go signal.

Long back we found some cheap radios we use to train our new folks with were preprogrammed from the factory with a really odd Rx freq & a CTCSS (tone) code. That style of programing is normally used so the guy listening does not hear any other conversations except the one him or anyone else, with those same settings. The other way it can be used is a one an done op should all cell networks be dumped do to a national emergency. The interesting thing was when found it was with a new batch of radios, but when we checked every Baofang we had we found that same setting in a few of the older ones (>7 years) as well. Everyone knows china plays the long game, and its looking like the cheap electroincs end, has/will pay off well for them, once they decide to go all in.
