RECCE 5K

The Recce series of suppressors are a long standing staple in the suppressor market segment. The 1st generation Recce suppressors were debuted in 2012 with the purpose of providing compact, durable, accurate, rifle specific suppressors to the market. These suppressors have received continued technology enhancements and revisions over the years to keep them at the tip of the spear in the suppressor market. The latest iteration of this line is the Recce 5K, a compact version of the Recce 5 for users demanding a compact, rapid-indexing suppressor.

The Recce 5K features Griffin's utility-patented ECO-FLOW™ baffle system which offers the pinnacle of .22 caliber sound performance. This baffle system is tuned such that performance at the muzzle of the suppressor and the ears of the operator are balanced for a uniform and low sound signature in the immediate vicinity of the shooter. Flow-through ports in the baffles alleviate backpressure and minimize toxic gas blowback resulting in a more comfortable shooting experience.

Combining these baffles with a redesigned flash hiding front cap results in flagship flash reduction in a compact K can. Users prioritizing flash suppression for use with night vision optics will also benefits from the tube-over design which slows thermal transfer and delays the resulting glow of the suppressor. Combined with the low flash signature, this makes the Recce 5K an ideal choice for nighttime shooting.

The Recce 5K is fully CNC machined, and laser-welded from 17-4 stainless steel for maximum thermal transfer and unparalleled strength and durability. Every component in the Recce 5k is manufactured from solid, high temperature corrosion resistant 17-4 Stainless Steel, and then H900 heat treated to ensure maximum service life is provided. Years of internal testing has found 17-4 stainless steel to provide longer service life than 718 Inconel, the prior market leading alloy. 17-4 stainless is also twice as strong as cast Stellite 6, used by some industry companies. Included with the Recce 5K is a Taper Mount EZ-Brake .22cal 1/2x28 and is ready for use right out of the box. Simply mount your muzzle device, attach the suppressor and you're ready to roll.

The Recce 5K is also compatible with all Griffin Taper Mount muzzle devices!

The Recce 5K suppressor is rated up to .22-250. Recce Suppressors do not have minimum barrel length restrictions or constraints for rifle calibers. While longer barrels promote longer service life, there are no barrel length restrictions with this suppressor!

What is the sound reduction difference between a regular latest gen Recce 5 and the K model on a 10.5?

@alamo5000 I'm not griffin-
They posted data on another forum and it didn't look to be too much of a difference considering it lost baffle(s). The main difficulty was keeping flash suppression down-they spent a lot of time tweaking the end cap on this one and it seems to work well for a k can

Here is my review for anyone interested.

Didn’t they come out with something named SPURM or something like that?
The owner designed a huge line of scope mounts, and a partner and a marketing department guy argued for calling the mounts Superior Precision Rifle Modular Mounts, which was obviously a joke. The owner didn't like the names but had better things to do with other design projects than argue over the name of a product. The mounts are getting re-named soon, GPM (Griffin Precision Mounts), and the mounts are getting a dowel pin interface for the indexing of the plates, and a new line of QD mounts is being added, and some red dot mounts are also coming. So a lot of mounts, but the production and design areas are doing a lot of work currently, so these are not the only things happening.

My brother just happens to be looking for a can exactly like this. He'll be happy to hear about an effective much more reasonably priced alternative to the HuxWrx. Ive had nothing but fantastic experiences with all of my Griffin products and interactions.
