Hey guys
With regards to the 2.5 x 10x42 tactical illuminated nato reticle
it states the illuminated reticle is a first focal plane option
and the non illuminated is second focal plane standard.

This is on the newer version,,below is a pic of the older model..
Does this scope have the FFP?
And what is your opinion of this glass? priced at 750.00 w/o the rings?

Me thinks BUY IT!! ask for rings to be tossed in!

Re: IOR 2.5x10 tactical question

Ask Scott @ Liberty Optics, a member here.
He is most knowledgeable on IOR matters.
I have a 2.5-10X FFP illum. with .1cm turrets and it is an excellent midrange scope.
If that is what is pictured, it is a good value.

Re: IOR 2.5x10 tactical question

Hey Black
Yeah this is the scope in question is it exactly like yours?
here's a provided pic with the turrets visible , looks to be 1/2
moa per click..

I think it has zero stop ??
But I don't see any values for the mag setting on the funky donut dial.
would they actually overlook that ?

Re: IOR 2.5x10 tactical question

The more I look around I see this is the old version
it doesn't have the MP8
nor side parallax adj...

here's the reticle

If it's a FFP I still may be interested ...

any feedback on this particular scope would be appreciated ..

Re: IOR 2.5x10 tactical question

if the riteicle changes size as you change the magnification then it is ffp if it stays the same size no matter what power you are on then it is sfp. it is really easy to tell

Re: IOR 2.5x10 tactical question

Thanks diggler
I know that bro,,,I'm just inquiring about this scope if it's a FFP with the illuminated reticule ...

This is the older model, and the site states that the ill reticule is a ffp currently,,since the owner hasn't yet replied to my questions I was just inquiring here..

Re: IOR 2.5x10 tactical question

It'd definitely a SFP scope. That illustration is the NATO MP-9 reticle, used in the M-series. I don't remember that scope having the MP-9, there was a "V-mark" (Dragunov) but if they did make it, it wasn't very many.

I was thinking that this was the hunting version with the "HR-5" reticle seen in the top left here:

But the turrets are wrong.

At any rate, since you can get a brand new 2.5-10x42 SFP illuminated MP-8 dot for $799 shipped, I see no reason to jump on this.
