Rifle Scopes ior 3-18x and scope base

has anyone been able to get to 1000 yards with their ior 3-18x for a .308 with a 20 moa base given that the scope itself only has 50 moa?

Ok I'll bite:

IOR 3-18 FFP MIL adj. has a listed 75-80 MOA of adjustment or 22 mils.

IOR 3-18 SFP w/1/4" click adjustment has a listed 65 MOA of adjustment. Both of which is more than 50 MOA.

But if your 3-18 has only 50 MOA of adjustment, and you add a 20 MOA base, then you should have 45 MOA up and 5 MOA down.

Theoretically, 45 MOA should get most 308 rounds to 1000 yds. and then some. Being that 45 MOA @ 1000 yds is 450 inches.

Perhaps you were talking about another IOR scope like the 6-24x50mm, which has a listed 50 MOA of adjustment?

I had a 3-18ffp SH on a Remington 5R w/20moa Seekins base, and currently have the same scope on a GAP Crusader w/20moa Badger base - both made/make it to 1000 yards no problem.

when adjusting your iors(if you have the older one with the standard knob that is) do you see silver when you max out your elevaion? or are there still hash marks on it?
