Rifle Scopes IOR

Im not familiar with the scope itself but I am with the yellow glass. It filters out the blue end of the spectrum giving you a greater contrast in low light situations. Rayleigh scattering is the phenomena of smaller particles in the atmosphere scattering the shorter blue and purple wave lengths in visible light. Removing those waves with a yellow filter leaves the more unscattered wavelengths for you to see allowing for better focus and sharpness, it makes it easier to see when conditions get tough. Ive seen filters that screw onto a scope, Ive never seen the scope itself with yellow lenses.
