Iran go boom

Lol, everyones at fault but jews, and ‘btw we’re smarter, oy vey’
some people aren't worth arguing with. A few years back, there was a discussion about german and soviet WW2 sniper rifles. I've owned all of them over the years, long side rail, short side rail, ZF41, high turret, claw mounts, G43 with ZF4, PEMs, PUs, even M41b's so I'm very familiar with them. He was arguing about everything. I even quoted findings from the german armaments committees - documented primary sources - and he was arguing against those also. Sometimes you just have to say IDGAF and wave and keep scrolling.

Show us where it says that.
Look up the Cyrus Cylinder. the Jews referred to him as a Messiah.
then the temple began to be rebuilt, ultimately the Persians restored the gold and silver which the babylonians had stolen

Start in Ezra 8. The Persians restored the Temple, and really coddled the Jews.

21 And there by the Ahava Canal, I gave orders for all of us to fast and humble ourselves before our God. We prayed that he would give us a safe journey and protect us, our children, and our goods as we traveled. 22 For I was ashamed to ask the king for soldiers and horsemen[f] to accompany us and protect us from enemies along the way. After all, we had told the king, “Our God’s hand of protection is on all who worship him, but his fierce anger rages against those who abandon him.” 23 So we fasted and earnestly prayed that our God would take care of us, and he heard our prayer.

24 I appointed twelve leaders of the priests—Sherebiah, Hashabiah, and ten other priests— 25 to be in charge of transporting the silver, the gold, the gold bowls, and the other items that the king, his council, his officials, and all the people of Israel had presented for the Temple of God. 26 I weighed the treasure as I gave it to them and found the totals to be as follows:

24 tons[g] of silver,
7,500 pounds[h] of silver articles,
7,500 pounds of gold,
27 20 gold bowls, equal in value to 1,000 gold coins,[i]
2 fine articles of polished bronze, as precious as gold.
28 And I said to these priests, “You and these treasures have been set apart as holy to the Lord. This silver and gold is a voluntary offering to the Lord, the God of our ancestors. 29 Guard these treasures well until you present them to the leading priests, the Levites, and the leaders of Israel, who will weigh them at the storerooms of the Lord’s Temple in Jerusalem.” 30 So the priests and the Levites accepted the task of transporting these treasures of silver and gold to the Temple of our God in Jerusalem.

31 We broke camp at the Ahava Canal on April 19[j] and started off to Jerusalem.

Never could think of anything I wanted to see bad enough to get me into cave diving. Too many guys who “ know what they’re doing “ die in those things. Always liked open water over my head. Now grottos? Very nice!

"know what they're doing" = EGO! As long as you keep yours in check, and your gear in order, and your mind on the rules etc. you should come home at the end of your dive. Never be afraid to turn around and end the dive if you feel it necessary. And have the wisdom to know when you should turn it around and the courage to do so.

Frankly, I absolutely hated my dry suit, I could never manage the "gas bubble" properly. But dry suits were necessary if you were diving off the Jersey Shore and going down 100 ft or so to the wrecks. I ended up ceasing those dives and focused strictly on cave diving in Fl. I'm ANDP and Full Cave. And I did it with a 7mm Jacket/trouser wetsuit pair. i was never "cold" in the wet suit.
i was never warm in any wet suit> 2 atmospheres. never used a dry suit. actually had a hypothermic episode in snorkeling depth. super stupid. was in FL summer water for > 2hr. body temp dropping < 96/95 deg prob after 2hr. interesting experience not fun.

Thank you, I hadnt heard of the Cyrus Cylinder, I'll do some further reading. I (may) see a couple errors in your position, but right at this point I have some obligations which prevent me from doing a thorough investigation and comment. I dont want to insult you with less. I'll just respectfully leave it to another time. Be well.

the Cylinder, which was directed to the Babylonians, was apparently one of several similar proclamations that Cyrus made to the different groups in the new empire. He was respectful to their traditions and religions, and did his homework before making these proclamations. to the Jews he said:

'Thus saith Cyrus king of Persia: All the kingdoms of the earth hath the LORD, the God of heaven, given me; and He hath charged me to build Him a house in Jerusalem, which is in Judah. Whosoever there is among you of all His people—his God be with him—let him go up to Jerusalem, which is in Judah, and build the house of the LORD, the God of Israel, He is the God who is in Jerusalem. And whosoever is left, in any place where he sojourneth, let the men of his place help him with silver, and with gold, and with goods, and with beasts, beside the freewill-offering for the house of God which is in Jerusalem.'

now, here is the interesting thing. if you believe in prophecy, you'll remember Isaiah, who lived and wrote around 740 BC....... which was about 200 years before the birth of Cyrus, long before the Achaemenids or Persian empire was even a thought :

Isaiah 44:28 -

When I say of Cyrus, ‘He is my shepherd,’
he will certainly do as I say.
He will command, ‘Rebuild Jerusalem’;
he will say, ‘Restore the Temple.’

and Isaiah 45:1-13

45 “This is what the Lord says to his anointed,
to Cyrus, whose right hand I take hold of
to subdue nations before him
and to strip kings of their armor,
to open doors before him
so that gates will not be shut:
2 I will go before you
and will level the mountains[a];
I will break down gates of bronze
and cut through bars of iron.
3 I will give you hidden treasures,
riches stored in secret places,
so that you may know that I am the Lord,
the God of Israel, who summons you by name.
4 For the sake of Jacob my servant,
of Israel my chosen,
I summon you by name
and bestow on you a title of honor,
though you do not acknowledge me.
5 I am the Lord, and there is no other.......

11 “This is what the Lord says—
the Holy One of Israel, and its Maker:
Concerning things to come,
do you question me about my children,
or give me orders about the work of my hands?
12 It is I who made the earth
and created mankind on it.
My own hands stretched out the heavens;
I marshaled their starry hosts.
13 I will raise up Cyrus in my righteousness:
I will make all his ways straight.
He will rebuild my city
and set my exiles free,
but not for a price or reward,
says the Lord Almighty.”
