Is America worth saving? The quick reference of freedom...

I don't think that we have a choice. I'm not leaving what my ancestors lived and died for in the course of 264 years behind, not in the hands of this generation of vapid vape shop clerks and brain-dead Communist sympathizers. Not without a fight, even if it consumes what little is left of me, will I let this happen.

No matter how, or even if we pray, we are all the stewards of that which has been left to us, and that which we will leave behind.

loving this thread, keep it up guys, yes its worth saving. i have to believe that. im not military and have a lot of friends that feel the way a lot of you do. seems like we are headed for something. who knows what it will be.

Absolutely it's worth saving. Is it savable? I doubt it, but I look at it as dispassionately as I can via the lens of population growth/decline. I don't need to recite which party gets the vote of various ethnic groups we all know them. When one considers the staggering pace at which minorities make babies + illegal immigrant inflows vs the year after year decline in white population it's an if not a when the dream is over(some estimates have the white population becoming the minority as early as 2032). FL and TX are the tipping points in General Elections once they flip blue you will likely never see another POTUS but a Dem. If it's an Independent they will be a Dem in sheeps clothing.

Trump bought us a little time perhaps with Kav and if RBG punts and he get 4 more years with 1 more appointment at the very least that may stave off some of the Dem insanity through the end of my lifetime. Progressives have played the long game well, patient and methodical. Pubs asleep at the wheel et al Paul Ryan had no idea what to do when they were handed the keys to the Kingdom which is a shame b/c a ton more could have been accomplished.

Still the greatest country in the world and the decay has been slow, but will pick up in pace. Useful idiots like Beto and AOC float 'insane' ideas, focus groups are formed, polls taken, media conspires to tweak the message and then guess what? You get a Virginia anti-2A bill floated in front of the Dem controlled template. I am watching Vaginia like a hawk it's a harbinger.

I'm going to take a big dump, head to church and pray for my friends, family and this sick twisted country and then go shoot the stink out of my scary black rifle.

Unless someone has a good idea of where to go next... this is the last bastion.

Fortunately, the land is covered by a brilliant document called The Constitution. And we are it’s citizens and protectors. It’s ours. It’s not The Kings’. It’s not The States.’ It’s not The Popes. It’s ours. Every man a king!

Worth saving? 100 percent. It is the best place on earth.

And the reality is, America does not need to be saved... it is in fine shape. But parts of it... urban shitholes... educational institutions, the ‘free’ press... need to be wrested back... from those bent on destroying America.

We don’t need to save the United States of America’s. But we do need to stand by her and protect her from the very people our Founders warned us about. Every day.

Fortunately, those same founding fathers also gave We The People the means to defend her. Both in words and deeds.

The problem is that we as conservatives think in terms of the individual while libs think in terms of group. That makes it a hell of a lot easier for them to organize.
We also think in terms of following the law and doing what is right.

Thenleft thinks in terms of “if you are going to make an omelette, you have to break a few eggs.” Nothing, for them, is wrong or illegal if it gets them to where they ‘feel’ they have achieved their social justice... whatever that is. Violent protests? Sure! Bomb universities? Ask Bill Ayers! Subvert the justice system or impeachment process? Why not! Kill off 40 million citizens? Kulaks, what Kulaks? Steal elections? A given! Flood the place with illegals to steal elections? Great idea?

Seeing a pattern?

We are losing because we are playing by the rules and the enemy is not.

And perhaps enemy is too strong a term? But when I grew up, the enemy was International Communism and Socialism (though National Socialism had been stamped out by the previous generation.)

Communism didn’t go into the ash heap of history ad Thatcher claimed... it justmorphed into kinder, gentler sounding forms... like the Green movement... progressivism got renamed... democratic socialism (contradiction in terms.)

Right now... playing by the rules seems a losing strategy. But fortunately, the overarching rules, the Law is the Land... the Constitution, does allow for us to play by the rules... and still win.

Though some of that path can get quite messy.

Returning power to the states, compelling the federal government to properly wield the power that it legally possesses (such as the power to regulate monopolies), deploying free-market principles in our health care system, and returning to a sane financial system with asset-backed currency would go far towards fixing our problems. But doing so means that some Wall Street and K Street assholes lose their cushy jobs, the middle class won't be able to buy or lease a new $65k truck every four years with pretend money, and states (including many "red" states) will have to figure out how to tax and spend like big boys instead of sucking from the federal teat. Compared to that, a slow slide into socialism seems far more likely.

But to clearly answer the OP's question - yes, this country is still worth saving.

“Taxing and Spending” IS the problem.
The only way to right the ship and restore control over our government is to repeal the 16th and 17th amendments. These were key checks on power that have metastasized over the last hundred years into the leviathan we are faced with today.

ENEMY is most certainly NOT too strong a word....

I believe that this is something of a mis-quote... but it resonates nontheless!

America isn't paper documents, its living minds and bodies. All the documents do is to enumerate and affirm those basic social truths that accompany honest, decent human behavior. They provide a testament to the principles we have traditionally cherished, and forsaken at our greatest peril.

In the short run, decent human behavior is under siege; much as it has been before. In the long run, it prevails, but never without sacrifice.

That time is once again upon us. What we do about it is the truest test of honesty and decency.

We're failing that test. It's not what they're doing that counts; it what we're not doing that tells the truth about democracy and justice.
