Is FOV linear, and comparable between 2 scopes? See attached. PST has FOV 41.2' at 3x and 8.6' at 15x. LHT has 23.5' at 4.5x and 4.7' at 22x. If FOV is linear, the graph shows they will have similar FOV around 13x, and from 13x to 15x, the LHT will have greater FOV than the PST.

Can FOV be compared in this manner, or does the linear concept not apply?

As above.
If you look at the FOV specs for the 3-15 LHT you'll see that the PST has a wider FOV at 15x also.

The calculation above is also correct, the only time this doesn't ring true is if the scope tunnels on the low end.
If a scope tunnels and you do the calculation based on the lowest mag setting you'll get a much smaller number than if you calculate it off the highest magnification.
