Is it possible (or maybe I should be asking if it's "advisable) to build a switch barrel rifle that'll shoot both 300 Norma and 6.5 SAUM? I realize it'd have to be on a long action but I don't know what sort of feeding (and other) issues this would present for the shorter 6.5 SAUM?

Whatever I build it's going to be on a TL3 action (my family is getting me one for my 50th B-day) and use a WTO SwitchLug. If this isn't possible I'll build a 6.5 SAUM/300 WSM. Just curious, though, if my 'in a perfect world' combination would be possible? It sure would be a terrific combination to have!

FWIW - this would be a hunting rig.

Hope this isn't a dumbazz question. Lol! We all gotta dream. Lol!

That's why I wanted to do it with a Bighorn - because it has swapable bolt heads. However, I talked to Bighorn and the diameter of the 300nm case is too large. They're working in a XL action ( that would work for me) but they don't have a release date. So, for now, it's not possible. Bummer.
