@lash It showed in stock when I placed the order, then got an email it wasn't in stock, so I called & they just said they would put an order in for me. It was optics planet, so I just dealt with a general customer service. It was a great price that I couldn't pass.

Contact MPA direct. Going through a place like Optics Planet for an order is just an unnecessary middle man.

To delete your own thread, open up the first post and hit the button that is three dits and a drop down arrow to the right of the Report button. These are on the bottom left of your post. This gives you the option to delete the post and or thread if it is your thread.

I ordered my MPA BA Chassis from OpticsPlanet. It took over 6 months to get it. If you want one, are in a hurry, and want a good deal, you can buy a gently used one in the post x-change. They show up here pretty regularly for $700-750.

b6graham is correct and had the better answer. Supporting site vendors is probably the best way to go. They do a TON for the community and can probably help you out ?.

You're correct in that the original BA chassis is not listed on MPA's website.

That's a pretty good indication that it isn't offered for sale any more. The Competition Chassis is the closest and it lacks the mostly useless monopod while it adds desireable features like an ARCA dovetail under the forearm instead of the picatinny rail.

You could try tilting at windmills by calling MPA and asking if they'd make you one. If they say yes, prepare to pay a significant premium in setup costs unless all the parts unique to it are still on hand at MPA.

If I were you I'd buy the competition chassis and be done. The monopod seems to be what you're fixated on and it's one of the dumbest things I've ever seen attached to a rifle. I suppose you could add one yourself but I don't know why anyone would.

*to elaborate a bit more, the monopod isn't as functional as you'd think. I promptly sold mine. I found a rear bag to much more stable. There was a substantial amount of play and it took a while to deploy and get "just right", unlike the rear bag.

Yep, but you can't tell some people that. It looks snipery as fuck so they gotta have one.

man, everyone is way overanalyzing this whole situation...that's the only model they showed of having, I had a 20% off any product there and a have a $250 credit. That's the only reason I was going to order it there, clearly everyone is fixated that im interested in this particular model because of the monopod, which I think is silly as shit.. im just interested in trying a MPA platform:

UPDATE: just cancelled the order and got the lightweight that confirmed in stock, cost me just under $400. Thanks so much for all the positivity here.

@lutzy72, Sounds like you probably can't find a better deal than the one you're getting. If you want to try one, buy it, wait the 6 months and if you hate it, return it or sell it... adding a spigot and bag rider increased the functionality of the chassis for me. I placed a Curtis Axiom, Bartlen barreled 300wm in mine. It's a soft shooting rifle.

The BA and Comp chassis are identical. The only difference is you get a spigot mount, bag rider & barricade stop when you order the Comp. But I would also make sure that you are not getting the 1st gen model that does not have the ARCA forend.

You are quite welcome. What you perceive as negativity is largely experience and/or knowledge based upon previous experiences. And look, our help has already saved you a long drawn out headache and even more money. ;)
