Biden Administration Announces Additional Security Assistance for Ukraine
April 4, 2023
Today, the Department of Defense (DoD) announces critical new security assistance for Ukraine. This includes the authorization of a Presidential Drawdown of security assistance with more ammunition for U.S.-provided HIMARS, air defense interceptors, and artillery rounds that Ukraine is using to defend itself, as well as anti-armor systems, small arms, heavy equipment transport vehicles, and maintenance support essential to strengthening Ukraine's defenders on the battlefield valued at up to $500 million.
In addition, we are announcing a significant package of air defense capabilities, as well as artillery and tank ammunition, mortar systems, rockets, and anti-armor systems using $2.1 billion in Ukraine Security Assistance Initiative (USAI) funds.
The Presidential Drawdown is the thirty-fifth such drawdown of equipment from DoD inventories for Ukraine that the Biden Administration has authorized since August 2021.
The capabilities in this package include:
  • Additional munitions for Patriot air defense systems;
  • Additional ammunition for High Mobility Artillery Rocket Systems (HIMARS);
  • 155mm and 105mm artillery rounds;
  • 120mm mortar rounds;
  • 120mm and 105mm tank ammunition;
  • 25mm ammunition;
  • Tube-Launched, Optically-Tracked, Wire-Guided (TOW) missiles;
  • Approximately 400 grenade launchers and 200,000 rounds of ammunition;
  • 11 tactical vehicles to recover equipment;
  • 61 heavy fuel tankers;
  • 10 trucks and 10 trailers to transport heavy equipment;
  • Testing and diagnostic equipment to support vehicle maintenance and repair;
  • Spare parts and other field equipment.
Under USAI, the DoD will provide Ukraine with:
  • Additional munitions for National Advanced Surface-to-Air Missile Systems (NASAMS);
  • Nine counter-Unmanned Aerial System 30mm gun trucks;
  • 10 mobile c-UAS laser-guided rocket systems;
  • Three air surveillance radars;
  • 30mm and 23mm anti-aircraft ammunition;
  • 130mm and 122mm artillery rounds;
  • 122mm GRAD rockets;
  • Rocket launchers and ammunition;
  • 120mm and 81mm mortar systems;
  • 120mm, 81mm, and 60mm mortar rounds;
  • 120mm tank ammunition;
  • Javelin anti-armor systems;
  • Anti-armor rockets;
  • Precision aerial munitions;
  • Approximately 3,600 small arms and more than 23,000,000 rounds of small arms ammunition;
  • Seven tactical vehicles to recover equipment;
  • Eight heavy fuel tankers and 105 fuel trailers;
  • Armored bridging systems;
  • Four logistics support vehicles;
  • Trucks and ten trailers to transport heavy equipment;
  • Secure communications equipment;
  • SATCOM terminals and services;
  • Funding for training, maintenance, and sustainment.
Unlike Presidential Drawdown, USAI is an authority under which the United States procures capabilities from industry rather than delivering equipment that is drawn down from DoD stocks. The announcement of this USAI package represents the beginning of a contracting process to provide additional capabilities to Ukraine's Armed Forces.
The United States will continue to work with its Allies and partners to provide Ukraine with capabilities to meet its immediate battlefield needs and longer-term security assistance requirements.

all I want is for Russia to breakthrough all the way to Kiev and end this $hit so we stop sending money
That's the only way this will stop. The US.gov is happy to keep Russia tied up with this shit for as long as possible. The US.gov wants Russia to disappear, so that would be one less competitor for a world power and allow the US.gov to concentrate on China. China over the last 20 years has made great in roads with strategic/economic partners and has made the US.gov look bad.

Agree with both of you but if, by some miracle, that Russia is completely kicked out of the Ukraine, the west will find another excuse to keep poking the Russian bear. BTW, Russia won't disappear no matter how many American jingoist politicians wish for it.

I see i am getting various UA codes on order forms for the gear i am selling to our armed forces , so i think i need to up the pricing for those at least 300% or so and join the UA grift bandwagon.
Money seems to be no object as long as the stuff can be delivered in near-term , money is coming either from EU 'Peace Fund', German,American taxpayer, paying for these 'Ukraine' bound goods (officially they are heading to training missions in Germany but i doubt they stay there)

Like in similar grifts before $$$ it's mostly bagged by the big players that sell stuff and take care of financing, for the stuff made by smaller companies.

The US Government is bad. It has a little to do with China but it is not their all doing. Just let them pick any country and say they are making us look bad. Histoiry is repeating. Ask the career politicians to hold up a mirror and they will see the enemy.

Talking about pipelines, supposedly this guy was on his way to photo some pipelines:unsure:?Hmm my money would be the insertion or extraction of someone.

''The pilot detained in the Bryansk region said that he was performing a task for 50,000 hryvnias (cca 1300$), following another plane and did not even know that he was already in Russia.
The light plane landed in a field in the Klintsevsky district, where it was noticed by locals and immediately reported to the security forces.
After the arrest, the man stated that he was not a military man, but a civilian pilot and was performing a routine task for 50,000 hryvnias — he was only required to take a photos. According to preliminary data, in fact, the pilot was engaged in reconnaissance on the instructions of the AFU. Next to the plane itself, the security forces found automatic weapon AKSU, ammunition . According to the pilot, all this was given to him "for protection.

Just as good a story as all the rest of them.
Let's Fact Check.... :ROFLMAO:

Hearing murmurs of a Ukraine/Western Counter/Spring Offensive.

Russia has started using its own version of a glide bomb. FAB-500M62

Russia going to break out and put a end to such talk

watch
Watching.

Just sharing what I hear.
Yeah anyone who thinks Biden is not in to a profitable oil industry is nuts. Especially over seas in countries with out all the regulations we have here. I still don't understand why the green energy tree hugger types fail to see this and buy their line of lies. Blinded by Orange Man bad.

not wrong and when we get into shooting war, the dems will lose support at home

dems are good for two thing; higher taxes and wars

and trampling the rights of others, and stupidity, and deviant behavior

ok more than 2 things lol
If we get into a shooting war with Russia, they will only have one option and that is to use Nukes. We would destroy Russia in a conventional war. If Russia feels it would be destroyed any ways why the hell not use Nukes.

Russia hasn't even started using its 140 I.Q. college kids yet on East German steroids.

Just drunks. Criminals. Druggies. Homeless.
The odd farmboy..

With infinite barrels, 152mm, 7n39 5.45, High b.c.Tungsten PKM rounds, 220 Tos Rounds.......

I think Russia could...in time....win....maybe.

But. Maybe not.

If Trump gets in...he may freeze UA ammo shipments.

Oh well....maybe the Germans should step up.

Or end it.

Even if Ukraine 1991 gulf war pushes Russia back....Russia will be a sour Sally and S300 10kt
Lviv and Kiev. Flash out 500,000 people.

Then go back to bear den to sleep.

Was consistently the case since the start of the war , the extreme firepower advantage Russians have in terms of artillery and aviation extracted heavy toll , if Pentagon PR numbers were correct there would be no more Russian army in Ukraine and/or their draft would need to be more like that one of Ukraine that drafted well over million men and is doing 9th or 10th draft .

Still 17k KIA is more than Soviet Afghan war. This is an extremely bloody war.

:devilish: sometimes Outsourcing PR to Indian or Bangladeshi offices doesn't work out quite as intended.

What's the date on those leaked stats? Other more recent sources have Ukraine KIA at over 200K.. Wounded over 300K.
