Is Your Doctor "Woke"?

I've got a few things to say about stuff being said here.
1) Most can truthfully say "no" if they ask if you own "a gun." With clean conscious too...It's like being in a court of law..."A gun."
2) I have two woke docs, maybe a 3rd. The one though is truly smart and SHE herself hasn't pushed the vaccine, just the interns (teaching university). This is the only doc who I think is quite a bit smarter than I am; the others, one is likely equal, the other isn't. Or isn't as smart as I used to be anyway.
3) Many, when find out my background, are like...ohhhhhhhh...yeah, you're not going to be an easy patient. The good doc anticipates that and explains stuff. The others...preach.

I've never had a doc ask about guns either, but everyone here owns guns so I guess they assume they do.

But I remember reading that the rabidly anti-gun American Medical Association (AMA) recommends that doctors ask patients if they own guns and how they store them. Like any good leftist organization, they consider the gun itself to be the problem, not the individual pulling the trigger.

The last Dr visit was a phone call to go over labs. The nurse called about ten minutes prior to ask some questions and say that the doctor would call me in a few minutes.
The nurse started out asking if I had a fever, been in contact with anyone with the Wu flu and... I interrupted and said, shit! I can get this crap over the phone? The next thing you are going to say is that I can get an STD from internet porn.
"Shut up, you're silly. The doctor will call you in a few." And she hung up.
Doctor: Have you had the vax?
Me: no
Doctor: flu shot?
Me: no
Doctor: the shingles vax?
Me: no
Doctor: In your job (HVAC) you are in contact with a lot of people
Me: (before he could go further) yes, and I have not worn a mask yet. I know that well over a couple hundred of them have had the Wu flu.
Doctor: you're probably one of the people that are immune to it or you have had it and didn't know that you did. Either way you probably have the antibodies to it.
Then on to the normal stuff about blood pressure, sugar and blah blah blah

I've always liked my doc, now I really do.
He asked if I had got the jab, I say no.
Doc says "good", I see from your info that you had it 10 months ago and recovered well, you have antibodies and don't need it. As a matter of fact I'll include a antibody screen In your lab work. And, if for some reason you do get it, like to save your job or something, under no circumstances get the J&J.

My dentist said basically the same thing. His opinion is that I am immune, since I traveled all over the country throughout the epidemic and never "caught" COVID. I don't have the antibodies for it either, but I have heard researchers say some folks catch it but never develop detectable antibodies. Something to do with T-cells fighting it off. Anyway, I don't have it and my doc could care less.

He does love to talk about my hunting and camping trips.
