I found a late 1960s ITT SU-49/PAS-5 night vision goggles. Anyone know where I could locate a battery for it?
I read that the battery was a BA-1312/U, 3 volt battery FSN 6135-269-5843 and that the LR50 was a replacement, it’s not as it’s 1.5v .
Anyone have any info on this goggle and a replacement battery?
I’d love to see if they still work.

ETA
Well the LR50 battery did work, for a short while (around 5 mins or so). I did some cross referencing and the BA-1312/U battery supposedly is 1.3v not 3 volt and the LR50 is the closest you can get to it.
The goggles worked surprisingly well with a hand held IR light. They did became really dim pretty quickly, seemed like the battery didn’t last long at all. I haven’t checked the voltage yet. I’m going to clean all the contacts and see if that is my issue.
Super cool that these still work, really neat piece of history. Really narrow field of view and needs IR light to actually work but they do work.

Mentioned it on the other forums as well but it's totally neat that you posted these pics. Brings me back to the desert in the late 80's!!

You ever want to sell them or trade towards some modern NV let me know.

Will do but I’m probably going to just hang onto them for nostalgia sake especially since they actually work.
You wouldn’t have access to the TM for them?
I haven’t been able to find it online yet.
Pretty cool piece of history and comparing them to the AVS -9 WP and GP has been pretty cool.

I was actually impressed with them better than I imagined, really narrow field of view though.
