There was a local Fishing and Gun shop that went out of business and they were selling 8 Lbs for 110 bucks, I ask the old timer clerk about loading for 223 for AR, he said it's about close to BL2 in burn rate. my goal is just to punch holes at hundred yards with 1-2 MOA accuracy and reliably cycle the action. My one AR has a 22 inch barrel with a 1in9 twist so it should be long enough to burn most all the powder. Anyone got a starting load for 55 grn and 62 grn bullets ?

You were misled. If you look up a powder burn rate chart, bl-c(2) and Superformance are pretty far apart.

bl-c(2) is closer to Varget, while Superformance is closer to RL22 which is too slow for 223.

Gas guns like a specific burn rate of powder. Has to do with port pressures, chamber pressures, and bullet speed. Your velocity will suffer, and it could be dangerous using a slower powder than recommended as well as damage your rifle. There's a reason that powder isn't listed anywhere for 223.

The Hornady Superformance ammo you can buy on the shelf uses a different powder than the Superformance made by Hodgdon.

As stated above, it works awesome in 30-06 bolt action rifles. I did find it leaves a lot of build up in my suppressor so I quit using it.

I tried Super in a 7mm-08 shooting 175-180gr projectiles. IIRC I could fit about 49gr of it in there and got about 2800fps in a long barrel bolt action. It'd probably work for some really heavy .308 loads. Otherwise it burns a little dirty there's a lot of residue in my suppressor from it.
