I’m looking to get one of these three actions and wanna start a new build/review thread up. Post builds of any of these actions and tell me what you like/dislike to make my decision easier. If your wondering what I’d want it for it’ll probably be a 6.5 creed for out to 1200 yards

I've had my Tac30 since 2012 and have absolutely zero complaints. For the past two years its been pulling double duty as hunting rifle and haven't had any issues in rain, snow, mud, and fine sand with the action. About the only thing I disliked about it was the bolt knob.

Here's my build:

Stiller Tac30 RH/SA
PTG .300" Recoil lug
APA bolt knob
Timney CE single stage
22" 7.5tw Proof Research Sendero cont. chambered in 6.5 Creedmoor
Area 419 2P brake
Manners PRS2 with barricade mini chassis and RRS dovetail plate & Atlas CAL with RRS BTC Pro
Minox ZP5 3-15 in ARC Mediums.

Wow that’s a sweet lookin rig. Thanks for the feedback. I’ve heard good about the stiller it seems like a really solid action

From what I've been told, they did have some qc issues within the past couple years and I don't know if they've been hashed out or not but I've been happy with may purchase. That being said, I don't know if I'd pick up another with all the great options out now, like the Bighorn Origin.

I don’t think you can go wrong with so many great options right now. My first custom was a Stiller and i now have 3 of them. They aren’t the latest hotness but they run great. Zero issues.

I'm itching for an atlas tactical long action right now. Recently got a kelbly black bear and need a 700 footprint long action for a build, so think the atlas tactical will be my next purchase.

I’m waiting on an Atlas Tactical barreled action from PVA. It should arrive anytime. 7.5tw 6BR to go in an MPA chassis. I’ll post pics and notes once I’ve had a chance to shake it down. I moved away from the ARC Nucleus for the Atlas Tactical. I’m glad I did based on early reports from Nucleus users and the continually-extended wait times from ARC.

That sounds like it’ll be a sweet rig. Can’t wait to see it

I went with an ATLAS tactical, Bartlien M24 7.5" twist finished at 23" in 65 Creedmoor and it's going in a Grayboe Renegade.
I'm to the point of bedding the stock and opening up the barrel channel for the M24 profile to be able to have it all together.
As has allready been said there many good options for actions just pick what you want.
I went with the Kelblys for several reasons the main ones being
1) A well established company with a long proven track record
2) The mechanical ejection, less parts and no springs
3) Nitride finish is standard
4) No need to send action in for having a barrel chambered, just sent the barrel to Kelblys and had it back in about a month.
5) Stock and trigger compatability with rem 700 just to name a few of the main reasons.

I ran an Ultimatum Deadline action this weekend at the GAP Grind, and finished 1st place in the Amateur division. I had 80rnds on the barrel coming into the tune up on Friday, and about 500 cycles on the Deadline Action itself. I had ZERO issues feeding from AW mags all weekend. No ejection or extraction issues. The bolt is stiffer than Curtis actions, but you don't really notice it that much if you run it hard on the clock. I'll post some pics of my build tomorrow.

Build:
Ultimatum Deadline Short Action
McGowen Prefit barrel, Rem Varmint Contour, 26", Chambered in 6xc
Manners T4A Stock, Ingenuity Gunworks Rail
Timney Calvin Elite Adjustable trigger, factory set to 8oz

Just wondering if you had settled on an action yet?

I did my first build a few years back and used a stiller tac 30. It has been a rock solid action and shoots lights out! I’m in the midst of doing a second build and went with the atlas tactical. It isn’t complete yet but playing with it before I send it off I’ve noticed this;

- it feels smoother then the stiller
- nitride finish is standard which I love
- mechanical ejector seems to be pretty sweet
- and really like the idea of the trigger hanger incase you ever needed to or wanted to swap triggers for target to hunting, gums up in a match or whatever the case: no messing with pins

Nope, haven’t decided on an action yet. There’s just so many good ones out there, I’ve spent hours researching them and just can’t figure it out.

Just received the barreled action yesterday from PVA after a few days of confusion with UPS. The action is terrific and I'm very pleased with my decision. I'll post an update after I complete load development. The fit and finish, and the ease of use and installation, are top notch. I would recommend the Atlas Tactical without reservation, especially considering the prices these things go for at places like Bullet Central.

Made it to the range this afternoon with my Atlas Tactical build and 50 rounds of 105gr hybrid handholds. I shot a few great groups, got my 100-yard zero, and started hammering clay birds on the 725-yard berm. Very pleased with the Kelbly's action and PVA's work on the barrel. I highly recommend them both. The photo is of the best 5-round group I shot while I was getting zeroed. 29gr of H4895 in a virgin Lapua case with a CCI 450 primer. Kinda slow at 2715 fps average, but really accurate. I had no issues feeding 6 BR in an MPA chassis with Magpul magazines.

Glad your liking the new rifle! Making me more and more excited for mine. Hopefully back between end of January and middle of February!!
