Kestrel 5700: Please help me with infos to get the right one

Hey guys,
I want to buy a cheaper version of the Kestrel 5700 in the first place, because my wife will kill me if I´m spending around 1,000 bucks at once.
But of course I want to upgrade it later.


So, to prevent that I´m buying a wrong Kestrel (which might not be upgrade-able), I´m begging for infos which model is the right one, and if I have to note something else.

This is your chance now, to make another human happy today.
Any info is appreciated.

Unfortunately I´m from Germany and there are no Sportsman versions available over here.

I have an offer for a "Kestrel 5700 Elite Meter with Applied Ballistics and LiNK" for a veeery good price.

I can´t go wrong there, or can I?

As long as you confirm its got AB and link, you're good to go. You can upgrade to elite later, its just software.

Well, it was an unbeatable price for over here in Germany, they sold it under "left over", I just ordered it.
