Kestrel seems to run high temps

When I'm out heading to the range, during shooting after shooting, I look at the bank temps, my truck temps and the snow melt while I'm shooting. Most of them seem to run lower temps than does my Kestrel 2500. Can the Kestrel get out of sinc and if so is their anything "I" can do or do I need to send it in for calibration?

Would say, a 10 Deg F temp diff make a measurable impact difference on my dope?

Yes, it can act this way if the sensor has direct light on it with no wind movement across it. Try waving it in the air for a little bit to get some air movement across the sensor and see if the temps don't come down. I have noticed that if i lay my kestrel down on the my shooting mat beside me while i'm shooting that the temps will rise like this. Sometimes 10 degrees to high. When i mount it on a weather vane an let it follow the wind, it gives pretty accurate results.
