Gunsmithing Kimber Raptor II night sights

Hey. I have a raptor II that needs new night sights. Would it be better to send it to Kimber for new sights or just find a local gun smith?

I'm in Los Angeles.

They're fairly tight, but not too hard to change yourself. Definitely no reason someone local couldn't do it.
