Kimber vs Cooper vs CZ!

My brother is looking to get a rifle for long range big game hunting rifle. He took a look at the kimber model 8400 tactical but i have heard many mixed reviews on kimber guns. For 2000 dollars they dont guarantee any accuracy at all which disappoints me. We know a guy who swears by cooper, and tehy do guarantee 1/2" or better at 100 yards. Thats more like it. I know a guy who swears by cooper firearms as well as best of the west. I have seen and handled CZ's and they are very well built rifles and there accuracy are suppose to be superb.

I feel like the CZ or the Cooper are the best for a long range hunting rifle. whats your thoughts on this

Cooper is a much higher quality gun than CZ or Kimber.

If the build quality on the balance of the Cooper line is as good as it is on my 57M (22lr) then you will be in fine company. The first time I took my 57M out to the range I was shooting groups smaller than a dime at 50 yards.

To be blunt ( I know, this the web and anyone can make great claims as to their ability) the grouping on my target was two shots touching at the 6 o'clock position, one single at the 9 o'clock position and two overlapping at the twelve o'clock position.

Of those three I would go with Cooper. I have several CZ's and love a Mauser action but only my 308 varmit is super accurate. The others are hunting rigs and shoot 1 to 1 1/2 MOA. I have a friend that has a Cooper in 25-06 and it is a friggen laser. I've tried to talk him out of that gun for 5 years now. Hope that helped.

Go with the Cooper. I have a Cooper M22 in 6mm Remington and it is amazing. It easily lives up to it's accuracy guarantee.
