Hey Guys

Found a source for the above. Will be shooting it out of a 26" 308 WIN at sea level with Lapua brass and Fed 215m primers.
Looking for proven loads. I have only IMR 4064 and IMR 8208 right now but please share any info you have with all powders.
Any info regarding " off the lands " etc would be great.

I have been using the SMK 175 out to 1000yds at 2640 FPS and am wondering if the 167 Scenar will do the same.

Thanks

I would use the IMR 4064 Powder.I would use IMR 8208 for Bullets 155 Grain and Under.IMR 8208 peaks real quick.I would start with 41.0 grains of 4064 and work up.I probably would not use the Federal 215M Primer. No need for a Mag primer in 308 in most cases. You will get better standard deviation with a standard primer. For me I would not go below 175 grains for 1000 Yards unless you are shooting a Palma rifle with 155 grain bullets.A lot of target shoots use loads that are .020 off the lands.

They're similar to the 168gr SMKs. I have a few boxes here and have loaded them up at various times. A bit spendy compared to some others, but nice bullets nevertheless.

I don't think that they're any more capable out to 1k yds, than the SMKs and other 168gr types.

If you can get them up over 2750-2800 fps, you'll stand a better chance at that distance.
