LaRue OBR 7.62. Site with full spec's and options?

I cannot find a site for the OBR where it can be spec'd in different configurations.


I know they have the LarueOSR site, where the rifle can be priced, but cant find pictures, etc with different options.

Also, cant really find a source of complete specs. Barrel threading specs, all that kind of stuff.

Can someone help me out?

You order it, and then work out the final specs with Larue.

Can someone help me out? </div></div>Barrels are a Lothar Walther, 1 in 11.25 twist if I remember correctly. Muzzle threads are 5/8x24. Call them up though if you have any questions, they are pretty good guys to talk to!

Really? I assume this means that you can not use 308Win ammo in it?

Yes you can. .308 is the SAAMI spec. They fit in 7.62 chambers.

I've called LaRue several times. They know their products, and they're very helpful. I had to stop calling them and asking questions because I kept on buying stuff after I talked to them.

So the rifle can handle SAAMI pressure spec cartridges... but it's chambered for NATO? Correct?

I guess that makes sense.

Yes, SAAMI for .308 is below 7.62 specs in many cases, if not all.

I finally found a comprehensive look at the two:

308 Win vs. 7.62 x 51 NATO

The realty is that they are basically the same.

It appears that most of the people out there have been converting CUP pressure numbers into PSI, which is wrong. 50000 CUP is the equivalent of about 62000 PSI. So this means that 308 and 7.62 should be basically the same.
