Lee neck size mandrel dimensions

Anyone have a lee 223 collet neck sizer?
I have one that i use in the first position of my 550 to smooth out the neck burs from trimming.

Years ago i removed the decapping pin and recently ordered a new mandrel....well.

The new mandrel is .002 smaller than the old one and doesnt do the trick. My old mandrel is also non tapered and the new mandrel has a step machined into it.

Can anyone measure/examine theirs and tell me what they find?

The one with the step in it is an undersize mandrel. Call Lee and they will send you the right one. It should be .003” under bullet diameter.

I’ll look at mine when I get home.
Almost positive it’s .222-.221 as I polished it down a smidge for a bit extra bullet grip.
No step.

Cool. They might have sent a smaller mandrel by accident. I have several mandels formby 308 stuff. And they offer an undersized for 224 as well. Might load up an OCW or saterlee test to see what results you get with the smaller mandrel. You might be surprised
