I’m fixing to acquire one of these brand new . It will be awhile before I can put a good optic on it so seeing if anyone has had first experience with one.

Just curious if the claims of 5 shot 1/2” or better groups with match ammo are true with a good driver .

Will make my decision wether to keep or sell it while still new and unfired easier lol.

i tied for first at two local fun/belly matches out to 900 with mine (24" 308, enforcer integral brake), so it's pretty accurate. i did buy a newer one in 6.5 creed, it had a carbon fiber barrel and no brake (and les said a brake would ruin accuracy). it was too light and jumpy and i sold it.

I owned one. To me it was nothing special. Accurate enough but not unlike others less expensive. Instead I would steer you to a Jp seekins or Gap if you want accuracy and friendlier CS.

Called Les about removing the brake and rethreading for suppressor. Got no where other then a seemingly angered Les being offended I would ask such a question. So I took it to a local smith friend of mine and found that not only was the brake thread locked in but the barrel was as well. We had to put heat guns on it for a bit to get them off. In then end it was to much of a hassle to mess with.

For my money JP, Seekins, and GA have always been courteous and helpful in answering questions.

My most recent AR has been off of one of the seekens builders kits. Today the parts are so readily available and easy to do, why not just build your own? It’s fun

Thanks for the input, I have had many JP’s and not into building one since if you decide to sell it’s worth nothing . I’ve found enough on forums to make me believe they are nail drivers . I’ll get it my hands then make the call to shoot or sell while still new .

I have a Les Baer .308 that shoots lights out. 5 shots at 1/2" is not a 'reach' at all. Hitting a plate at 500 yards is like clock work, and after 8-10 shots, you begin to feel you're wasting $$ ammo. I also have a Les Baer Grendel 6.5 mm, and I love shooting that thing. I was lucky recently to get a huge lot of the Les Baer Black Hills 6.5 ammo. Over the years, I've had several conversations with Les Baer, and no doubt he has his opinions. But my experience has been 100% on the positive side, and I was greatly disappointed he is dropping his AR line of rifles because of their accuracy and workmanship. I'm currently shopping around for one of his 1911's.
