Let me see your Military Rifles!

Re: Let me see your Military Rifles!

High-Speed-Para, did I see your rifle at the National Match? I can't think of any easy way you may have recognized me, I just remember some furniture like yours.

Re: Let me see your Military Rifles!

Here is the only one that I have that was an issued rifle...

Re: Let me see your Military Rifles!

While that's a nice 03' that's not a 1903 A1 It's a 1903 fitted with fitted with a pistol grip stock and A303 trigger guard. This is a real A1.
While you can't see it the pistol grip is much more graceful and all parts are milled.

Love those 96s. Everyone one I ever owned with a code 1 bore would out shoot my 700 or M70 in 6.5x55.
here's my choice for the next war to be fought on American soil....

Do I think they shoot better than a GAP or R&D, Terry Cross, etc? No I don't, but for milsurps, they are about as accurate as it gets.

Edited to add: I didn't see Sparviero's post above first. Nice CG M41.

Interesting to see some Swedish classics made it over to the US. Are these expensive in the US? Dirt cheap in Sweden and used to be popular for moosehunting on the countryside.

Re: Let me see your Military Rifles!

to Mike: THKS

to Brazense: they were kind of cheap, not now

and yes they shoot really good

Re: Here's another

Norwegian Krag Jørgensen mod. 1894, caliber 6,5x55. This one is from 1916 and was used by norwegian forces at Narvik in 1940. Priceless!

I have a M16A2 clone that I am working on completing. A 1903 Springfield is the next on the list. And of course I have a return stock waiting on a 6 digit receiver for a M40A1 build.

1943 walther k43 semi-auto. Working condition, all matching numbers WWII bring back, from my uncle's father-in-law. Gifted to me for no reason and i'm honored to have it. I have since repaired the sling cutout, not sure WTF the old guy was thinking when he filled it with stained wood glue.

Re: Let me see your Military Rifles!

Here is one that came back with my Father in Law from Vietnam. Luger was re-blued, pretty much had no finish on it, came from a VC officer that no longer needed it. The second picture is the Vietnamese export papers for the 03a4, Luger and an NVA SKS. The scope is obviously not WW2 vintage it is a K460-B

M107: M82A3 replacement
DMR (cooler version of M1A)
M4: In the background. Mine to left against wall.

Downside is, cannot keep them or take them home. Will cost $10,000, $6000 (+/-), & $2500 in that order.. Contact your local friendly recruiter to find out how to get paid to shoot them at no out of pocket expense hehehe

Re: Here's another

Seen a lot of the M76's for sale recently, been thinking about grabbing one.

How's their accuracy- much better than the PSL?

Re: Here's another

The M76 will out shoot the psl with the right ammo. The heavier barrel helps with succesive shots plus heavier bullet and less receiver warp. I don't know if I would say it out shoots a psl to any great extant, but it has potential. Honestly I haven't shot mine too much since I got it about the same time I got my ndm-86 which will out shoot the whole collection with 168grn sierra match kings. I plan on giving the M76 more trigger time this year with some reloads.

It is! I wanted to!
BTW, it had a full mag. I cleaned and oiled her and when I left I gave it to someone I trusted to take care of her!
