As the subject says, lets see those GAP 338's. I'm almost ready to drop the hammer on one and would like to see what you guys have.

I'm personally looking at a surgeon XL action with a bartlein barrel, surefire suppressor attachment, sitting in a McMillan/manners stock.

So if you have a GAP built 338 post em up boys!!

I guess if you can afford to shoot the ammo, then you can also afford an S&B scope.

Beautiful rifle, this is exactly what I'm talking about. How does the rifle do with 300 grain scenar's?

Real well....Using Retumbo I've driven the 300gr scenar and 300gr SMK@2860fps. That load shot moa out to 1600 meters

I´d be kinda shifting around between getting myself a new car or one of those...
concidering the cost of .338 I´d say the car is cheaper. Will still take some 40 years before gasoline prices get around the price of .338 ammo.

after the initial blow to the wallet it isn't too bad. Brass and dies will hurt the most. I spent like 1500 getting all the components/dies/powder. But now I have enough to shoot 500 rounds before I need more powder and bullets. $3 a piece isn't bad haha

My 338 isn't a GAP but it has a S&B

Sorry for the late reply...that rifle without the bipod is 15lbs 3 oz unloaded, so add 8 more oz for 5 rounds = 15 lbs 11oz
Add bipod 14 oz for a bipod and 16 lbs 9 oz

Just took delivery of the rifle today. Its GAP Built, Badger action .338 of course, and Bartlien MTU contour barrel. Getting ready to mount S&B scope. Will Post a more details about the rifle nxt week monday after I get some range time, and stuff. It's a BEAST!!
