Tearing into my first left-handed rifle build has been interesting to say the least. The rifle is ejecting the brass while cycling the bolt 100%. The problem i run into is when I mount the NF 5.5-22x56, the case mouth contacts the bottom of the side focus knob and almost knocks the brass back into the bolt raceway. Is there any way around this besides running a scope with a smaller side focus knob OR M16/Sako extractor?

The sako and M16 would likley cause the same issues maybe worse unless you use a bolt with a repositioned ejector plunger, sakos are known for high ejection angles, some have problems others don't maybe a higher set of mounts would help out!

Re: LH Rem 700 Ejection Oddity

I think I'll try adding .5" of pull to the stock and moving the scope back .5" and see what happens. It's probably .25" too short as it sits so maybe I can get away with it. If ejection is still a problem, I'll stick a 4.5-14 Mk4 on it hope for better luck. I plan on shooting a few UKD matches with it and doing mostly long range hunting, so I'm afraid the objective-focus/parallax adjustment won't be ideal.
