Light Primer Strike Problem

I don't know if i should've posted this in the reload forum or here but here it is.

Was wondering if you guys could help me diagnose an issue...

I was out at the range today shooting lake city through my .308. 2 out of the twenty rounds of lake city i shot.. i pull the trigger and just hear *click*... i eject the round and notice a light primer strike. This is the first i've shot lake city through this gun. Never had this problem before with any other ammo. Any ideas?

Primers seated too deep, or do you have gunk in the way of the firing pin?

What type of rifle?

Jester - No, nothing in the way of the firing pin as far as build up or gunk goes.

Jimmy - it's just a reg .308 built off a remmy 700 action.
