LMT MWS gen 1 or 2 serial number

Does anyone know if there is a way to tell what Generation an MWS is by looking at the serial #. I know of the differences but have one to be released in 10 days in CA but have the serial #. Just want to know what gen rifle I am getting. Any info is appreciated. Google brings up a crap load of posts but now solid info.

You might try calling the customer service guy at LMT. He has always been helpful. If there is a ser. # cut-off or recognized generations, he can probably tell you.
